Former US Under-20 goalkeeper Maria Angela Villas-Boas has admitted she is “proud” of the group of players she has met in her four years at Villas Villas academy.

The 22-year-old Villa Belmeza, who is married to the former United States goalkeeper Jason Kreis, said she has been “very proud” of her team.
“It’s just been an incredible journey, especially because of the experience I’ve had,” Villas said.
“I’ve been really privileged to have been part of the national team at the highest level, I’ve played for a lot of great people, so it’s been a very exciting experience.”
Villa Belletta, who was born in the US, started her career at Villares in 2016, and moved to Villa Villas on loan in 2017.
She has appeared in five matches for the team so far this season, recording three saves, including a stoppage time winner against Peru in the 2018 Copa Sudamericana final.
